Dorchester County fire causes over $60k in damage to mobile home

Deputies say that they responded to a fire at a mobile home in Dorchester County, on Sunday.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, 30 Eldorado-Brookview firefighters responded to a blaze, at a home on Meadowlark Avenue at 6:07 a.m., on Sunday morning.

Deputies say that the blaze was discovered by the owner in the kitchen. The fire took about 30 minutes to control. The blaze was accidental and electrical.

The estimated loss of the home is $40,000, while the estimated loss of belongings is $20,000. A fire alarm was there, but it did not activate.
