Two charged in Dover cocaine investigation

Two men are facing drug charges, after police say they were arrested in connection with a cocaine investigation, in Dover.
Delaware State Police say on Thursday, members of the Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) were assisted by the Kent County Governor's Task Force (GTF) and the Smyrna Police Department in concluding a drug investigation, in the 200 block of Kentwood Drive, in Kentwood Mobile Home Park. Authorities say the KDU received information about a person who was selling large amounts of cocaine throughout Kent County.
According to the report, the suspect identified as 50-year-old Lex Draper, of Dover, was confirmed through surveillance to be delivering an undisclosed amount of cocaine in the Dover area. DSP says Draper and his accomplice 54-year-old Charles Kite, of Dover, were in a 2002 GMC Yukon, in the area of Rose Valley School Road, when they were taken into custody.
During the arrest, troopers say Draper and Kite were in possession of 15.71 grams of cocaine. Both Draper and Kite were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, conspiracy second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were later turned over the the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $72,200 secured bond.
