Suspect sought in connection to Laurel convenience store robbery

Police are searching for a suspect who took extra precautions, after they say he wore gloves during the robbery of a Laurel convenience store.

The Laurel Police Department says on November 30, around 9:00 PM, a man went into the Shore Stop, in the area of North Central Avenue, displaying a black semi-automatic handgun, in Laurel. According to the report, the man demanded money and other items before fleeing the scene. 

Law enforcement describe the suspect as standing approximately 5'10" to 6'0" tall, with a slender build and blue eyes. The suspect was apparently last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and distressed denim pants. Police say the suspect covered the lower portion of his face with a black garment and wore purple latex gloves.
