Shoppers fill Delmarva grocery stores ahead of heavy snow

With snow quickly piling up all across Delmarva, people aren't taking any chances.

Stores across the Peninsula were packed with shoppers Friday trying to prepare for the snow.

People were stocking up on things like salt, ice scrapers, shovels, and most importantly, food.

Grocery stores like ACME were filled with people wanting to stock up before they get snowed in.

They told 47ABC that the grocery stores were getting more crowded by the minute.

Debbie Anderson, a shopper said, "Got lots of bird food, cat food, and milk and eggs."

Shelley Davis, another shopper, said, "Well it's pretty crowded and I asked the check out person if it had gotten worse and she said it was getting worse by the minute and so I grabbed my cat food and got out of there and my wrapping paper so I can wrap my Christmas presents."

If you're short on food or snow supplies, make sure you get out to the stores now before the snow gets too heavy.
