Police: Four injured after Queen Anne’s Co. crash

Police say that four people were injured after a crash in Queen Anne's County, on Wednesday evening.

According to Maryland State Police, at 8:31 PM on Wednesday evening, a Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling northbound Route Eight on the Route Eight/ Route 50 overpass. There was a Chevrolet Silverado pickup traveling south on Route Eight on the Route Eight overpass.

Police say that the Chevrolet Cavalier failed to yield the right of way and attempted to turn left on the ramp to westbound Route 50. The southbound Chevrolet pickup then struck the passenger side of the Chevrolet Cavalier.

The pickup driver, 54-year-old Gregory Fornaro of Stevensville, and his wife, 56-year-old Tatiana Fornaro of Stevensville, were ground transported to the Queenstown Emergency Room.

The driver of the Cavalier, 22-year-old Ryan Terry Scott of Parkville, and the passenger 19-year-old Kelsey Blair of Baltimore, were transported to Shock Trauma by a Maryland State Police helicopter.

The status of their injuries is unknown. Troopers did not detect signs of alcohol.
