Pittsville man arrested for second degree assault and marijuana possession

Deputies say that a Pittsville man was arrested for assault and marijuana possession on Wednesday, in Wicomico County.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, on Wednesday, deputies responded to a home on Perdue Street in Pittsville, for an assault.

Deputies learned that family members reportedly got into a heated argument that turned physical.

The argument started because 22-year-old Marcus Carver allegedly brought marijuana into the house. The deputies say that they found that Carver was the aggressor and he was arrested for second degree assault and possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana.

Carver was released to Central Booking.
