Norfolk man pleads not guilty to firing shots at deputy in Accomack Co.

A Norfolk man, who is accused of shooting at a deputy, pleaded not guilty on December 7, in Accomack County.
According to Accomack County Circuit Court, De'Andre Ayers of Norfolk, pleaded not guilty to attempt to commit capital murder, shooting from a vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting at an unoccupied vehicle.
Ayers reportedly fired shots at the deputy, after the deputy tried to stop a car following a bank robbery in Pocomoke City, on September 26, 2016.
He was arrested in the City of Norfolk with help from the city's police department and the U.S. Marshal's Service. He was incarcerated in the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
Ayres trial is set for March 22.
