Typically, once police make an arrest, they say the car break-ins will quiet down for a while.
In the meantime, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is offering additional tips for you to keep from becoming a victim.
First Sergeant John Alessandrini said, "The most important thing is lock your cars. Lock your windows and lock your doors. A lot of people don't do that. The second thing is keep your valuables out of your car. Your car is not a safe place for your valuables so people leave their purse in plain view, and even if their car is locked they'll break your window and take your purse so you got to keep that stuff indoors."
