Man charged with sixth DUI in Millsboro

A man is facing DUI charges, after authorities say he was arrested on his sixth DUI charge, in Delaware.
Delaware State Police say on Tuesday, just after 12:10 AM, a trooper noticed a traffic violation by a driver of a Nissan Altima traveling northbound on Oak Orchard Road, in Millsboro. Troopers say the driver was identified as 41-year-old Lance Perry, of Georgetown.
During the traffic stop, authorities report that they noticed the smell of alcohol which prompted a DUI investigation.
Perry was apparently taken into custody and taken to Troop 7. According to the report, a computer check revealed that Perry had five previous DUI convictions.
The 41-year-old was charged with sixth offense driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended or revoked, and failure to have two head lamps. He was later turned over to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,001 cash bond.
