Local sheriff’s office to host active shooter seminar

Over the past two years America has seen two of the worst mass shootings in the history of the country.
And although predicting them is impossible being prepared isn't. That's where the Wicomico County Sheriff's office comes in.
Wednesday evening, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office will be holding an active shooter training program designed for civilians to give them the tools needed to best protect themselves should they find themselves in such a situation.
"One of the goals of this training is to again you know teach people on how to react and hopefully to assist them in not to panic and be able to get through something like this," Lt. Tim Robinson.
The training will be this Wednesday at 6:00 PM at the Allen Memorial Baptist Church, in Salisbury.
This training seminar is open to anyone and no registration is required. If you have any questions contact the sheriff's office at 410-548-4891.
