Limb and yard waste pickup continues in Salisbury

The city of Salisbury is still cleaning up the damage from the last snow storm. The city is picking up bundled tree branches which have been placed outside for curbside pick-up for free. Salisbury wanted to remind residents of their pick up requirements which are different from the County's requirements. In the city, branches must be cut to a length of 4ft and  they must be placed in a bundle not exceeding 40 pounds. The branches must also be less than 4 inches in diameter. Branches or bundles that do not meet this standard, will not be picked up.

"The residence of Salisbury take a lot of pride in how clean and pristine we like to try and keep the city. And we want to try and help them accomplish that. Keep the bundles manageable for our drivers it's supposed to not go over 40 pounds we'll have drivers out there by themselves that's why we have those requirements because we don't want any injuries," said sanitation superintendent for the city of Salisbury Ron Airey.

Residents requesting pick up should call 410-548-3177 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m  Monday through Friday. City offices will be closed on Monday December 25th, Tuesday December 26th for Christmas and Monday January 1st for new years. The next scheduled pick up for branches will be on Monday January 8th
