Bennett outlasts cross-town rival Parkside

Behind 16 points from Otis Russell, the James M. Bennett Clippers were able to outlast cross-town rival Parkside, 57-50.

Bennett jumped out to a 23-21 halftime lead, but after the third quarter, the Rams would have a 36-31 lead.

The Clippers' Montaze Jefferson, who was coming off a 33-point performance against Snow Hill, came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring all seven of his points.

For Parkside, Tyler Poulson and Jalen Deloch paced the Rams with 13 points each.

Parkside falls to 1-2 while JMB moves to 3-1.
