A closer look into Governor Hogan’s announcement of Jobs for Marylanders Act 2.0

Among the business and community leaders that attended the economic forecast at Salisbury University was Maryland Governor Larry Hogan's policy and legislative director, Chris Carroll.

Carroll presented the latest goals Governor Hogan and his administration have achieved including creating jobs and working to turn Maryland's economy around.

Carroll also disclosed more on Governor Larry Hogan's announcement for a bigger push to spur job creation calling his new initiative, More Jobs for Marylanders Act 2.0

"We want to expand the program to allow other industry sectors to participate as well so if agriculture or logistics are going to be in an area that needs to be focused for Wicomico County then they're going to be able to designate that and those jobs will be eligible for those same tax incentives that we just offered last year to manufactures," said Carroll.

The expanded program will also increase the available funding for tax credits from $9 million to $15 million dollars.
