Worcester County Commissioners vote not to accept pay increase

The Worcester County Commissioners voted not to accept a pay increase, on Tuesday.

According to the commissioners, every four years, commissioners vote whether or not they want to increase their salary by 1.5% as to the cost of living; however, they voted unanimously to waive the increase.

Commissioner Jim Bunting says that commissioners agreed that they accepted the position because they wanted it and not because of the pay.

He also said that they feel like the money can be put towards a better place.
