Students wage year-long drive for local shelter

 A group of  Del-Tech students are hoping the community pitches in to help out the Crisis House. 

The students started a drive this summer aimed at getting donations for the shelter rolling in all year. 

They are asking for personal hygiene items and other household things to help the shelter run smoothly. 

The group of four students started the drive back in the summer, but hope there's an uptick of donations during the holiday season. 

Center director, Nancy Woodruff, says the kinds of things the shelter needs are things most folks don't think to donate. 

"Our main needs are pillows blankets twin set sheets but we like to have them new because of bed bugs. Sheets cleaning supplies they bought canned goods, hygiene stuff and one man came in and gave a cash donation."
