Seaford man arrested for allegedly assaulting woman in front of children in Milford

Police say that a Seaford man was arrested for strangling a female victim in Milford, on Sunday afternoon.

According to Milford Police, at 3:01 PM on Sunday afternoon, officers responded to an apartment in the Brightway Commons Apartment complex, for a report of a fight. Investigators learned that 27-year-old Cameron Doyle of Seaford, and a woman got into an argument that led to Doyle reportedly physically assaulting the female victim.

The victim was later able to flee and call police from a nearby apartment. Upon arrival, officers contacted Doyle who stayed in the apartment where the assault happened. The incident was reportedly witnessed by two children who were in the apartment.

Investigators say that Doyle prevented the female victim from calling police. Doyle has been charged with strangulation, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, offensive touching and malicious interference emergency communications intentionally prevent or hinder. Doyle was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7 where bail was set at $3,350 cash.

Doyle was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution. Doyle is set to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on December 1 for a preliminary hearing.
