Sale of multi-million dollar shopping center in Ocean City gets finalized

Shopping Center on 123rd street

The $5.5 million dollar sale of an Ocean City shopping center has at last been finalized.

The sale took over two years to complete, but the property on 123rd street was finally officially sold to Peck Miller of Coldwell Banker.

Miller has since introduced a Quiet Storm Surf Shop, Parched Pelican and Justine's Ice cream to the shopping center, but it won't stop there.

Phase two of construction in the shopping center has begun and there is word of a drive through coffee shop coming to the shopping center soon.

Council members said the sale of the shopping center is representative of the progressive nature of Ocean City. They added that they are glad that people like Miller are continuing to invest in the beach town.

Wayne Hartman, an Ocean City Council Member said, "My understanding is the vacant lots next to it are going to be developed and add to that and complement what's already there, so it's a great thing for town. It didn't surprise me, it's reflective of what I've seen in the past."

Council members said Miller has done a great job with the property so far, and they said they look forward to seeing what else is added to the center moving forward.
