One injured after two-vehicle crash in New Church

Officials say that they are investigating a crash that happened in New Church, on Friday afternoon.

According to Accomack County authorities, at 4:17 PM on Friday afternoon, local fire companies including New Church, Atlantic and Chincoteague, responded to a two vehicle crash on Chincoteague Road in New Church.

Officials say that a vehicle rear-ended another car. One person was transported to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say that the road was closed for about an hour. The crash is under investigation by Virginia State Police.
