Officials: Man suffers injuries after fire in Millville

Officials say that a man was injured after a fire in Millville, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, officials responded to a fire on Old Pier Lane, at 1:14 PM on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say that the blaze happened as a man was using a trench machine, struck an underground gas line and the gas escaped and found the ignition source.
As a result, the man was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for burn injuries to his arm. It took officials over an hour to control the fire. The blaze is under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.
The Millville Fire Chief said that Roxana Fire Company assisted while Frankford Volunteer Fire Company was on standby.
