Officials: Diesel fuel leaked in Hazmat incident in Salisbury

Officials say they responded to a Hazmat incident, involving diesel fuel, on Tuesday, in Wicomico County.

The Salisbury Fire Department says on Tuesday, their crews responded to a Hazmat incident earlier at the Wicomico County District Court, in Salisbury. According to officials, approximately 20 gallons of diesel fuel leaked from a faulty backup generator fuel tank into its secondary containment area.

Salisbury fire officials say crews provided additional alleviation using PIG rolls/absorbent and called an EPA-approved clean up company.
