Local families receive Mountaire’s Thanksgiving meal

Well we've seen examples of just how generous Delmarva can be time and time again and with Thanksgiving only days away, on Tuesday Mountaire provided another example of that. 

Hundreds of families in need were given Thanksgiving meals for free as part of Mountaire's Thanksgiving for Thousands event. 

47 ABC stopped by one of the pickup locations today to talk with volunteers about the spirit of giving. 

"It's just a wonderful program that they're doing. It's really a blessing for everyone who can't do it themselves who don't have the money or the means and it feels good to be able to help them," explains Stephanie Daniel and Roberta Anderson from Lincoln United Methodist Church. 

Mountaire will have another event in the near future, Thanksgiving in December. On December 20th, volunteers will again be packing meals for local families in need.
