Indians get nod to state championship game

The Indian River boys soccer team punched their ticket to the state championship game on Wednesdy night, defeating Delaware Military Academy 2-0.

Edgardo Velasquez connected with the head of Wilberth Gonzalez Gomez to give the Indians a 1-0 lead at the half, and Velasquez would get his second assist in the second half, with Esley Carmona Deras netting a header in the second half.

The Indians move to the Division II state championship game on Saturday, where they will take on Caravel Academy.
