Delmar Captures Henlopen South Championship; top Woodbridge in instant thriller

The Delmar Wildcats played host to Woodbridge Friday night as both teams went head-to-head, trying to capture the 2017 Henlopen South title. 

A first quarter touchdown by Brooks Parker had the Wildcats leading 7-0 early in the game however Jamon Kane would break-off a 29-yard run later in the quarter, narrowing the lead to 7-6 (Woodbridge would miss the extra point).

The Blue Raiders would take their first lead of the game late in the fourth quarter, however a strong drive by the Wildcats would result in a Parker touchdown from inside the 5-yard line with under a minute to play; giving Delmar the 28-21 lead.

Delmar would hold on in the final minute of play, capturing the Henlopen South Championship and improving to 9-1 on the year heading into the postseason.
