Crabber’s season ends in state semis

Crisfield's memorable postseason run came to an end Wednesday night to Patuxent out of Lusby.

The Panthers, who were 15-1 coming into the game, were the Maryland Class 1A South Region champs, and were making their 3rd straight state semifinal appearance.

From the start, Patuxent asserted their dominance with an early goals from Kenna Tejchman and Kendra Scruggs. Lainie Pruitt got Crisfield on the board at the end of the first to narrow the halftime lead to 3-1.

In the second, it was all Patuxent. The Crabber's Anabelle Mrohs would knock in a rebound to make the score 5-2, but it would be too little too late as that would be the final.

Crisfield ends their season at 8-8, and only graduate one senior.
