Cape Henlopen takes home DI field hockey crown

Cape Henlopen is your DI Delaware field hockey state champion after taking down cinderella Sussex Tech 1-0 on Saturday.

Sussex Tech, the 8-seed, had an unexpected run to the state championship after 1-0 wins against Padua and Dover.

For Cape, Cami Smith netted the game-winning goal halfway through the second half, and that would be good enough for the Vikings to take home the championship.
