Cambridge sets up unique crab bushel Christmas tree

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, Christmas celebrations are officially beginning throughout the country, and Cambridge is getting in on the action!
The town, known for it's watermen, set up it's infamous crab bushel Christmas tree on Friday.
This year's tree stands at 20 feet tall and it was assembled by just a few eager volunteers.
The mastermind behind the tree is Brandon Hesson, the Associate Director of Economic Development for the City of Cambridge.
He told 47ABC he came up with the idea for a crab bushel tree about four years ago, and the tree has been a hit with public every year since.
Hesson said, "It's a great thing and I'm really glad that everybody likes it. Again, it's really meant to accentuate the town and while I appreciate everybody patting me on the back, and say hey thanks for doing it, it really is a collective effort!"
Hesson said the tree was lit up momentarily Friday night to make sure everything was working, but the official lighting of the tree will take place on December 2nd, the same day as the 69th annual Cambridge Dorchester County Christmas Parade.
