Artists Giving Back hands out meals to community members in Berlin

Students along with the Berlin Arts and Entertainment Committee were giving out warm meals to community members earlier today for Giving Tuesday.
This all started because the committee was working with adolescents who experience conflict in their homes and schools and they realized children were stressed during the holidays because they weren't in school.
That's where they count on getting a hot meal.
The students from the program sparked the idea for this event called Artists Giving Back. And the committee was able to grab culinary artists to donate these meals.
We are told this has been a community effort.
A member from the committee, Robin Tomaselli tells 47 ABC, "We've gotten teachers at the local schools who have given us a list of students that have asked if they can have a meal delivery so more than 75 carry out meals that have gone out to people who are shut in."
They anticipate handing out 150 meals.
All the leftovers will be donated to Diakonia, which is the only comprehensive provider of emergency and transitional housing for men, women and families on the Lower Shore.
