Virginia State Police recieve international recognition

The Virginia State Police were just Internationally recognized with three awards at the 2017 International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference this week in Philadelphia, PA.
Colonel Steve Flaherty, who is the Superintendent and 40-year veteran of the Virginia State Police, received the annual J. Stannard Baker Award, for his significant lifetime contribution to highway safety.
The Department also received two awards for its Help Eliminate Auto Theft program and its support and assistance during a multi-agency investigation into a terroristic threat in the summer of 2016.
