UPDATE: DSP: Magnolia man arrested for firing shots, striking victims in Dover

Police say that a man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an incident at Alder Park Apartments where three people were assaulted and shots were fired back in September.
According to Delaware State Police, on Friday, September 1, at 1:25 AM, troopers responded to Webbs Lane "K" building for reports of shots fired. As troopers and Dover Police officers arrived on scene, multiple people and vehicles were seen leaving the area. Through the investigation, it was found that there was a party happening at apartment "K 5" when police say that a fight happened between 23-year-old Khalil-Mahl T. Hanzer, of Magnolia, and a 21-year-old man who was struck in the forearm by a handgun that Hanzer had.
A 20-year-old woman tried to break up the argument when Hanzer allegedly struck her in the forehead with a handgun. Hanzer also reportedly struck a 20-year-old man in the back of the head with the handgun as the man was trying to break up the fight.
At some point, Hanzer reportedly discharged the firearm inside the apartment before leaving the area. The 20-year-old man and woman were taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where they were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. It's unclear if the 21-year-old man received immediate medical attention.
No other injuries were reported. Hanzer was developed as a suspect in the case through investigation, and he was taken into custody by detectives on Tuesday after he was seen leaving a home at Alder Park Apartments. A search warrant was obtained on the apartment and detectives reportedly found a nine millimeter handgun.
He was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a weapon with an obliterated serial number, three counts of second degree assault, three counts of first degree reckless endangering and three counts of aggravated menacing.
He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court two and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $154,000 cash bond.
