Town of Frankford not going forward with Dagsboro police department merger

On Monday, the town of Frankford says that they have decided not to go forward with the police department merger with Dagsboro.

Officials say that the reason is because of resident concerns and budget limitations. The town says that they will immediately start evaluating other options for police coverage, such as resident suggestions of hiring a new Chief or contracting with the State Police for coverage.

The council says that they look forward to resident input on the decision.
