Several fire companies respond to poultry plant fire in Harbeson

According to the Milton Fire Department two people were injured in a fire at Allen Harim Foods Harbeson Plant Facility .

Officials say that both persons were employees of the plant and that only one person was transported to a local hospital with minor injures.

Reportedly a call came in about the fire around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Upon arrival the fire was located on the fourth floor, in the packing room.

All fire companies from Milton, Lewes, Indian River, Rehoboth, Georgetown, Millsboro and Ellendale were on the scene. 

Officials say the scene was cleared at 12:50 a.m. Thursday morning and that the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause at this time.

Multiple fire companies in Sussex County responded to a plant fire Wednesday night.

According to the Emergency Operations Center in Sussex County there was a fire at poultry plant on Harbeson Road.

The Georgetown Fire Company says there were no injuries but there was property damage.
