Officials: Two baggies of crack cocaine found after Laurel man flees from deputies

Deputies say that a Laurel man was arrested for eluding a deputy and for being caught with crack cocaine in Salisbury, last Friday.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, last Friday at 4:30 PM, a deputy saw a suspect later identified as 27-year-old Dwayne Horsey of Laurel, traveling north while riding a Honda motorcycle on West Road in Salisbury, who sped up and tried to leave the area after seeing the deputy.
The deputy, who reportedly saw that Horsey was passing vehicles in a no passing zone, decided not to allow Horsey's driving to go unchecked and the deputy immediately followed Horsey.
Deputies say that Horsey fled towards the Delmar area while speeding and while running stop signs in an effort to elude the deputy. The chase reportedly came to an end and Horsey was taken into custody when Horsey reportedly approached an intersection with a waiting deputy who helped Horsey with getting the motorcycle stopped.
The deputy then reportedly found that Horsey had two baggies of what was identified as crack cocaine in his pocket. Horsey was placed under arrest and taken to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following a first appearance, the Commissioner released Horsey on an unsecured bond of $5,000 on possession of crack cocaine, attempt to flee and elude, driving while suspended, driving without a license, negligent driving, aggressive driving, passing in a no passing zone, speeding, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and unsafe lane changing charges.
