Officials: Hurlock house fire caused $20k in damages

Authorities are investigating a house fire, after they say it caused $20,000 in estimated total damages, in Dorchester County.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal says on Sunday, around 3:41 PM, a fire happened at a two story home in the 4400 block of Preston Road, in Hurlock. According to the report, the fire began in the first floor living room and was reported by a passerby. Officials say 30 firefighters with the Hurlock Fire Department responded to the blaze, and put it out in 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. The preliminary cause is reportedly due to an electrical branch circuit.
According to authorities, the estimated total loss is $20,000. This fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
