Ocean City Officials reflect on Fall Cruisin’ Event

Race cars and classic cars alike filled the streets of Ocean City this past weekend for the annual Fall Cruisin' event.

Following the hectic H2Oi event, Ocean City police admitted they were on edge about how the Fall Cruisin' event might turn out, but police told 47ABC that for the most part, they weren't expecting to run into any major road bumps throughout the weekend.

Like many car events in Ocean City, however, there were countless burnouts, lots of noise, and substantial traffic on the roads.

Mayor Rick Meehan said he hopes the many car events in Ocean City will be more under control in future years.

Mayor Meehan said, "This particular event, they try to manage it properly. It's just the sheer numbers, the sound, the noise, and the vehicles are causing problems and it's something that needs to be addressed."

Following this weekends Cruisin' event, Ocean City should begin to officially quiet down for the off season.
