MDOT updates public on Eastern Shore road projects during visit

On Tuesday, transportation officials visited Maryland's Eastern Shore to update the public on construction projects.

Maryland Department of Transportation says the construction work on widening Maryland Route 113 should be completed in about a year, in Worcester County.

According to officials, Phase three of the nearly 15 billion dollar project is ongoing as work continues on the almost 5 mile stretch between Massey Branch and Five Mile Brand Road. That part of the project is set to be done by the end of the year. Officials report that the final phase focuses on more than 4 miles between Five Branch Road and Public Landing Road which is set to begin this fall and end by next fall.

The construction to add a right turn lane to Route 413 and Tulls Corner Road will apparently be completed next fall, in Somerset County.
