MDOT SHA: Road work on US 50 set for next week in Wicomico Co.

Transportation officials announce road work that is scheduled to begin next week on US 50, in Wicomico County.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) says on Thursday, that they plan to resurface eastbound US 50, between Walston Switch Road and White Richardson Road, which will begin next week, in Parsonsburg. The $2 million project will apparently be completed in early 2018.

According to MDOT SHA officials, Contactor Allan Myers will patch, mill, pave and restripe six miles of eastbound US 50. Transportation officials say drivers can expect daytime single lane, double lane and shoulder closures between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Mondays through Saturdays.
