Local non-profit asking for costume donations

In Hebron, one non-profit after school program does Halloween a little different for their kids, but it requires the communities help.

It's called reverse trick or treating, something the Epoch Dream Center has now been doing for a couple years.

Instead of their some 50 kids receiving candy, they take them out around the community in costumes to give it out.

It's a tradition the local community now looks forward to, but in order to make it happen they need costume and candy donations.

Allison Merriken of the Epoch Center says, “At first it was a very hard lesson for some of the kids to learn but now I think especially because the community has given us such great feedback and they do expect it, the kids look forward going out to the different parts of the neighborhoods.”

The Dream Center will be accepting donations of non-scary costumes as well as individually wrapped candy donations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Epoch Dream Center in Hebron.
