Legion Riders planning to raise money for college tuition

American Legion Riders is planning a special motorcycle ride to help out wounded warriors and their kids.

The motorcycle club said they are planning to ride their bikes out to Nevada to raise money for college scholarships.

Legion members said they were inspired to make the ride to give back to those who had a family member sacrifice everything for our countries freedom.

They also said they want to help the veterans that were so badly injured during their service, that they can no longer work, meaning they can't afford to send their kids through college.

Dave Jacobs, the Assistant Director of Legion Riders said, "Their kids will, when they get to college, will need money for books and whatever and that will be determined because it is just being started so."

The American Legion riders are still nailing down some details regarding the ride.

We will keep up with those Legion Riders and be sure to cover this event when it comes around.
