Harsh weather conditions doesn’t ruin the fun of the Kite Fliers Association Convention

Ocean City experienced some pretty harsh weather on Thursday, but that didn't stop people from flying their kites for the 40th Annual American Kite Fliers Association Convention.
Despite what many would naturally assume, kite hobbiests said high winds are actually bad news for kites. They said kites have tolerances. They are made for certain wind ranges, and Thursday was simply too windy for most kites to fly.
Impressively, however, some people still managed to get their kites in the air.
Luckily, kite hobbiests said they are expecting better kite flying conditions this weekend.
Jeff King, a Kite Hobbiest, said, "It looks like things are going to start improving tomorrow and we're hoping for a really good day on Saturday so if we're looking ahead that way, we expect to have a lot more kites in the air especially on Saturday."
If you are interested in more than just flying kites, you can head over to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City to check out kite making lessons and learn special tips and techniques from expert kite fliers.
