Groundbreaking for new Allen Harim Hatchery in Dagsboro

A big day in Sussex County for the groundbreaking of a new hatchery.
Allen Harim in Dagsboro will be seeing a new 70,000 square-foot facility on the company's site.
The location in Seaford is shutting down and teaming up with the one in Dagsboro, which means they will continue to grow within Sussex.
It will be be more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Allen Harim invested $22 million to build a state-of-the art hatchery.
They will create two million eggs per week once they are up and running.
They say they are excited to provide better chicks for growers.
When it's complete, the company will close their older hatcheries in Seaford and Dagsboro.
Employees from both locations will either work at the new hatchery or other facilities.
