Georgetown man behind bars after hit and run with ambulance

A Georgetown man is behind bars at Sussex Correctional Institute after he hit an ambulance and left the scene.

Anselmo Dionicio-Lopez, 26, also known as Miguel Chavez, was allegedly driving erratically in Seaford early Saturday morning.  His silver scion then side-swiped an ambulance from Blades before trying to escape the scene on Old Furnace Road.

That's where Seaford Police caught up with the suspect.

Dionicio-Lopez was taken into custody and transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Leaving the Scene of a Property Collision, Driving without a Valid License, Failure to Provide Information at a Collision Scene, Expired Tags, Drinking While Driving, and several other traffic related offenses.
