DSP: Bridgeville shooting remains under investigation; one injured

Troopers are currently investigating a shooting that happened in Coverdale Crossroads, after they say a man was injured, in Bridgeville.

Delaware State Police say on Monday, around 9:44 AM,  a shooting was reported when calls of gunfire, on Mill Park Drive, were received by the Sussex County Emergency Operation Center. The incident apparently happened in Bridgeville. According to the report, shortly thereafter, a 39-year-old man was taken to an area hospital by a personal vehicle, with several gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Detective reportedly met with the victim at the hospital was admitted and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to authorities, no suspects have been developed at this time.
