DelDOT: SR1 lane closure set for October 19 in Smyrna

Transportation officials announce a lane closure for road work that is scheduled for Thursday morning, in Smyrna.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) says the right lane of State Route 1 (SR1) southbound between DE 299 and North Smyrna Exit 119 will be closed on October 19, in Smyrna. The lane closure will apparently last from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, on Thursday. According to officials, the lane closure is necessary for residual remediation from the fuel tanker crash that happened on October 11.

Officials say drivers should anticipate delays on SR 1 southbound.
