Delaware State Police investigate barricade situation in Lincoln

 DSP continue to operate on Johnson Road in Lincoln.

The subject continues to remain barricaded inside the residence possibly armed with an unknown type firearm.

Residents in the area remain evacuated and Johnson Road between US113 and North Old State Road remain closed.

Due to barricade situation, Morris Early Childhood Center is closed today.

The Delaware State Police are currently on the scene in the 18000 block of Johnson Road for a  possible armed barricaded situation in a home.

The incident started around  1:00 a.m.  Wednesday morning, when troopers were called to the residence to check on the welfare of an unstable male, who is alone in the house.

Several residences in the area of the incident have been evacuated as a precaution.

Johnson Road is currently closed between DuPont Boulevard (US113) and North Old State Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.
