Worcester County offering free ‘Until Help Arrives’ seminar

Worcester County Emergency Services is trying to help prep people with skills that will help them during emergencies.

The county is offering two free workshops called Until Help Arrives. It's essentially a crash course on what folks can do after an emergency, key life-saving tools until emergency professionals can arrive.

EMS Director for Worcester County tells us this three-hour FEMA workshop could save lives.

In the seminar, Fred Webster says they will be discussing, "How you as an individual can help during time of an emergency, how to call 911, how to stay safe, how to stop the bleeding, and how to position people if they are injured, how to provide comfort."

The free workshop will be offered Thursday, September 7th, at the Ocean Pines branch library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again on September 18th.

To register for the free class Worcester County Emergency Services at (410) 632-1315.
