UPDATE: Two men charged in connection to Wicomico Co. courthouse graffiti incident

Two men are facing destruction of property charges, after deputies say they were responsible for the chalk graffiti found at the Wicomico County Courthouse, in Salisbury.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says on Monday, deputies responded to the area of North Division Street and Main Street, at the Circuit Court building for Wicomico County, for malicious destruction of property, in Salisbury. Once on scene, deputies apparently noticed 28 places on the sidewalks and concrete walls that had graffiti written in chalk. Authorities report that some of the graffiti markings were written on the building of the Wicomico County Courthouse. It reportedly took several Wicomico County employees numerous hours to scrub and power-wash the markings off of the property.

According to the report, Detectives learned from video surveillance in the area that around 9:00 PM, on Sunday, 29-year-old Christopher Aulerich and 27-year-old Jordan Swanson, both of Salisbury, defaced the Wicomico County property.

Authorities say Aulerich and Swanson were charged with Malicious Destruction of Property under $1,000. They were released on criminal citation.
