Steel Services closes doors for good

One company in Salisbury closed its doors today for good.  Steel Services shut down its location on Boundary Street today, letting go of seven workers.

47 ABC reached out to the company and spoke to President Josh Starke, who declined to do a recorded phone interview, but did answer a few questions.

He says the decision was based on finances, and the amount of capital improvements the site required were ultimately too high for the company to keep the location open.

As a result seven people are now jobless, but he says they were all offered severance packages and some have already found new jobs.
