Police: Suspect wanted after striking two victims, firing shots in Dover

Police say that they are currently investigating an incident at Alder Park Apartments where two people were assaulted and shots were fired in Dover on Friday morning.

According to Delaware State Police, around 1:25 AM on Friday morning, troopers responded to Webbs Lane "K" building for a report of shots fired. As troopers and officers from Dover Police Department arrived on scene, multiple people and vehicles were seen fleeing the scene.

Investigators determined that there was a party taking place in one of the apartments when an argument began between two men in the living room.

A 20-year-old woman reportedly tried to break up the argument when one of the male suspects struck her in the forehead with a handgun. The same suspect also struck a 20-year-old man on his forehead. At some point, the suspect allegedly discharged the firearm inside the apartment.

Both victims were transported to the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where they were treated and released with non life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a man who is 5'06"-5'07" tall and 200-210 pounds. The man also reportedly has a beard, was wearing a white t-shirt and khaki pants. He is also described as being armed with an unknown type of handgun.
