Police: Elderly woman walks in on alleged burglary of Dover home

A home burglary is under investigation, after police say an elderly woman came home to a unknown man inside her home, in Dover.

The Dover Police Department says on Wednesday, around 3:20 PM, a 78-year-old woman came to her home, in the area of North Little Creek Road, where she found an unknown man inside, in Dover. According to the report, when the woman confronted the man, he then grabbed her purse from her shoulder and knocked her on the ground. Police say the suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Authorities report that the victim sustained very minor injuries and was not treated.
