Inaugural country music festival

Main Street Berlin was packed Saturday afternoon for their inaugural Small Town Throw Down.  The Berlin Honky Tonk country music festival featured three live Maryland bands with dancing was encouraged.

It's just another example of Berlin bringing the community together, and Greg Cotter with Fagers Island who helped organize the event, says it's a unique way to gather the community together during the second season.

"It brings a lot of people together, after a long summer you get a lot of people that are working for a tourist trade and it's a nice chance in the second season here to bring people together and say hello to some friends you may not have seen in a while."

And cotter says plans are in the works to bring the music festival back for next year.
